Invoxl end user licence agreement

This agreement is between you and Invoxl, India ("Invoxl", "we"). It covers the Invoxl desktop application for Windows, its updates, and the Invoxl reading service it connects to (together, "Invoxl").

By installing, signing in to, or using Invoxl you agree to this agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use it.

1. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Invoxl on up to 3 Windows computers signed in with the same email, to read invoices for your own business. We can withdraw this licence if you break this agreement.

2. What you may not do

• Copy, sell, rent, lend or sub-license Invoxl.
• Take Invoxl apart, decompile or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this regardless of this clause.
• Get around the sign-in, device limit or page credits.
• Offer invoice reading to other businesses as a service using Invoxl without our written permission.
• Use Invoxl for anything unlawful.

3. Credits and payments

Invoxl is not a subscription. You buy page credits in advance. One credit reads one page of an invoice. Credits are added as soon as payment is received and do not expire. The same file is never charged twice. Prices can change for future purchases but never for credits you already hold.

Payments are processed by Razorpay in Indian rupees. Refunds follow the refund policy: if a purchase was made by mistake, or credits cannot be used because of a fault on our side, email support@invoxl.in within 7 days and the unused credits are refunded in full.

4. Your invoices and your data

Your invoice files and the Excel files Invoxl writes stay on your computer and belong to you. To read an invoice, its content is sent over an encrypted connection to the Invoxl service, read, and not stored there. Only the extracted fields come back to your PC. We keep the minimum needed to run your account: your email, a hashed identifier of each PC, and a count of pages read. We never sell or share this information. Details are in the privacy policy.

You are responsible for keeping backup copies of your invoices and Excel files.

5. Check the Excel before you rely on it

Invoxl copies what is printed on an invoice and checks that the GST and totals add up. Anything doubtful waits for you under Needs Review. Even so, reading can go wrong, especially with faint, torn or blurred bills. You must check the Excel before using it for GST returns, payments, accounts or any other decision. Invoxl is a data-entry tool, not a tax, accounting or legal adviser.

6. Updates

Invoxl may download and install updates on its own so that you always have the current version. We may add, change or remove features. If we ever stop the Invoxl service, we will tell you in advance and refund any unused credits.

7. Ownership

Invoxl, its design, code and name belong to Invoxl and are protected by copyright and other laws. This agreement does not give you ownership of any part of it. Your invoices and Excel files remain yours.

8. Other services

Invoxl uses Razorpay for payments and cloud services for reading invoices. Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies, and we choose providers that do not keep your invoice content.

9. Ending this agreement

You can stop using Invoxl at any time by uninstalling it; unused credits stay on your account for whenever you return. We can suspend or end your access if you break this agreement, for example by abusing the service or making fraudulent payments. Sections 4, 5, 7, 10 and 11 continue to apply after this agreement ends.

10. No warranty and limit of liability

Invoxl is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost data or penalties arising from the use of Invoxl or of the Excel it produces. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in this agreement removes rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

11. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of India and the courts in India have jurisdiction. If you have a problem, please email us first at support@invoxl.in; most issues are settled within a working day.

12. Changes to this agreement

We may update this agreement. The current version is always on this page. If a change is important, Invoxl will tell you when you next open it. Continuing to use Invoxl after a change means you accept the updated agreement.
